Bohe’me Art Gallery: Welcome to the Exhibit Incarnations and Abstractions.
The Bohe me Art Gallery at Chelsea Plaza Galleries in SL seems to be two separate quirky little gallery spaces in one, both created by the very clever designer Narada Rose Norwaky.
Rain and dark shadows dominate
Located in the popular Chelsea Plaza Gallery district, The Bohe Art Gallery is a unique gem and in my opinion, one of the best galleries of the district. It initially has a dreary feel to it as you walk through the entrance. Rain and dark shadows are the dominant setting yet it’s still somehow inviting, despite the unusual indoor gloomyness. Of course, as you sit within, you come to realize you are inside a complete piece and the weather is part and parcel of the works and in fact, illuminate the essence of each painting.
The concrete walls are a refreshing contrast to the works themselves…
Abstractions, one part of the gallery, holds a writing and poetry contest that you can be a part of simply by sharing your own poem. Incantations, the other part, houses modern cubist art pieces that use light that makes them even more striking. The concrete walls are a refreshing contrast to the works themselves and complement the pieces beautifully.
Incarnations
If you have stumbled on my gallery today,
I am happy to welcome you.I have a small request,.
Sit in the various seats, and spend time,
just sitting with the art.It is an experiential journey more so than a gallery for purchase.
There are a few pieces for sale here,
however that is not my goal. There is a story of life, death, memory, and perhaps,
Narada Rose Norwaky
past incarnations. This exhibit is deeply personal to me.
Please note: My photos are quite a bit lighter than the actual exhibition, to show off the setting and artwork inside.
SL is a filter of life, it filters our life experience.
But the tool, is sweet yes?
SL is a filter of life, it filters our life experience.
But also sorrowful.
